I bought this fabric recently to make a top, with the stripes running both horizontally and vertically, and it is spectacular. The jersey is smooth and substantial (not t-shirt weight), has a lot of stretch, but is also stable. Although the color is described as "bright orange" I would call it red--an orange-red rather than a blue-red, but it definitely reads as red in natural light.
