This Stretch French Terry is 65% Bamboo Viscose, 30% Hemp and 5% Spandex. It is 60" wide and weighs in at 380 GSM. This Bamboo Stretch French Terry stretches approximately 50% in the width and 60% in the length. It feels sturdy and yet exquisitely soft. One side is a flat knit and the other side is a chain-like weave.
It is a great alternative to our bamboo stretch fleece. It is perfect for yoga pants, cloth diapers, child’s pants, shorts, hoodies and work-out clothing.
The weight of this fabric may vary with each manufacturing shipment. Dye lots will vary, some black dyed fabric may appear lighter than others.
Made in China.

Super happy with the weight and feel on this one. Going to be some gorgeous reversed then tie dyed flats.
Great quality fabric! Nice stretch and recovery. Soft for a hemp fabric. Ready to work with and super absorbent!! I will be buying more.
I bought this to make into nice stretchy flats for cloth diapers. My friend had some that were the same fabric content that she bought from a shop who said they got it from natures fabrics. I’m not sure if they changed the way it was produced but this is not as soft and floppy as my friend’s diapers. This is stretchy and has good absorbency but when this is wet with pee or coming out of the washer, it gets a little rough and very stiff.. feels like wet jeans. Definitely not my favorite even though I spent the most money on them. When it comes to diapers, I’d look elsewhere.
I did make a really beautiful bow out of this and it makes great boosters since it doesn’t matter that it gets stiff while wrapped inside another diaper.
I like this fabric, but I find the information listed a little misleading:
1. Color- it is not a solid black color. It is more of a black/dark charcoal heather-ish blend with some texture. The photo provided is too low resolution to show this texture and color.
2. Softness - it is fairly soft for a hemp blend fabric, but I would not call it "exquisitely soft". It's not scratchy, but it's not really soft, either.
3. Alternative to bamboo stretch fleece - it is quite different in color, texture, and softness. The bamboo stretch fleece is darker, smoother, and much softer than this fabric. The bamboo fleece feels "cozy" and fuzzy to me, but this french terry does not.
4. Perfect for yoga pants - I just made yoga-style pants with this fabric, and they go sheer bending over (not "squat proof"), so they would not be suitable to wear as yoga pants in an actual yoga class. They are still fine to wear with a longer shirt - they are not super sheer, just not opaque enough to be real yoga pants.
The fabric does have nice stretch, though, and it was pleasant to cut and sew.
Though it is heavy in weight (380 GSM), it is not super thick - I'd say it's more of a medium thickness. I thought it would be a winter weight fabric, but I'd call it more of a spring/fall weight.

Let customers speak for us
from 1264 reviewsJust love the fabrics I have purchased and hope to be able to buy more soon. Great products/great service

This is the best interlock double knit for our hot southern climate. Opaque, stable knit, and heavy enough to hang gracefully without revealing everything underneath. Wish the navy came in the same weight.

This cotton velour is perfect for my project!

I bought a gift card for my daughter-in-law- she will love it!

The PUL I purchase from your company is used to make reusable sani-pads for girls and women in third world countries that experience feminine product insecurities. Items purchased are well made and arrive in good time in good condition.

Wild Orchids on Double Gauze Muslin Fabric

The softshell we ordered is just what we were looking for! The color is beautiful and the material was shipped very quickly.

The fabric feels lovely. I plan to make a sweatshirt tunic and then dye it.

During Covid shut down, I worked with a local non-profit to re-open their recreational mountain huts. These mountain huts (50+) are a vital economic driver throughout the year in small mountain communities located in the CO Rocky Mountains.
The local health department approved the sample fitted sheets I created by utilizing the laminate side as the top of the sheet so hut guests can easily wipe them with Covid approved cleaning solutions between guest turnovers.
To this day, booking reservations are still filling up, the sheets are still being used & the feed back from the hut management has been very positive. The laminate material holds up very well under 12 months of solid bookings & I continuously fill “replacement” or new orders.
Thanks to working with a small USA company such as Nature’s Fabrics, I am able to order PUL fabric for a large batch or small batch production to accommodate this recreation business.
Nature’s Fabrics has worked very well with me to accommodate the quantities even when the supply became limited during Covid. Because of their passion in helping me to fulfill my production schedule, the Huts were able to re-open on time & reservations continue throughout the year. Thank You & Kudos to NATURE’S FABRICS!

I love the fabric! And I was sent some lovely samples as well! Definitely will be ordering again

This fabric washes up nicely. It is so nice and easy to work with. I made two sweatshirts out of 2 1/2 yards one adult and one childs. After it is washed up it has a very small amount of stretch to it. This fabric comes in tube style. I washed up before cutting it open. The fabric inside feels like a nice plushy sweatshirt. This fabric takes dye so nicely.

What a great experience. Shopping was easy, delivery was fast, fabric is beautiful. The medium charcoal heather 100% cotton interlock is exactly as described. I will certainly buy from Nature's Fabrics again.

I love this fabric! I used it to make a Sew House Seven Cosmos sweatshirt. It's super soft but also hefty enough to hold some structure in a sweatshirt.

The depth of color on this alcohol dye stained glass effect fabric is awesome. And as a bamboo spandex jersey, it drapes beautifully. Luckily for me, the same pattern was available in a non-stretch poplin, so I'll be making a matching hat.

The print is absolutely gorgeous and the colors stayed true through washing. It has a lovely hand and I can’t wait to make it into a bomber jacket.
