Cotton velour will work as a moisture wick layer. Cotton velour knit fabric is great as an absorbent fabric, diaper fabric, or sweat suit. Cotton velour is perfect for pads for periods. It even works as an absorbent fabric for pee pads. Cotton velour is the inner layer in many cloth diapers as it is quite absorbent.
