We have so many new things coming, I will give a brief run down, so you can keep an eye peeled.

We have the printed bamboo flannel coming in this week, after months of waiting. This is a dream fabric, super soft, and stays soft wash after wash. I would say no piling, but you know as soon as I do, someone will say, mine did. LOL
It is available in natural, a stunning black and white all over, a cupcake print and the kitty print. These were a short run, I have a few hundred yards of each, and once they are gone, unlikely to be seen again. I have plans for a set of lounge pants for me, and the kids.

We are getting another batch of 100% wool interlock-feltable in this week. Our wool is all natural, minimally processed 100% fine wool interlock. It is considered greige (pronounced gray) goods, so nothing extra is done to the wool. Very natural and oeko-tex 100 certified.

We are fully stocked on all of our bamboo fabrics I believe. Fleece, heavy fleece, double terry and terry, velour and thermal. We are waiting for more bamboo/hemp but have a good supply of hemp/cotton fleece.

Please feel free to contact us with questions. We are now offering a great wholesale plan.

There is a lot of information swirling the internet these days about the Nature’s Fabrics Wool, so I thought I would take a moment, while my cheese potatoes cook, to get some info out there.

The new style, we are now calling washable, was done in China. There are a lot of perks to that(price isn’t one of them): the wool is ready in 6 weeks, there is a small deposit, and only require a 500 yd order. They have made new samples, they are mailing them out tomorrow, so I will have them Wednesday or Thursday. I am aiming to make wool like our old style feltable wool, that is what I ordered and that is what I expect in the end.

The wool we have been getting here for years takes at least 12 weeks, I have to order 2000 yds, and pay half down and half when ready.

You can see the math there. very high price, and something I can’t really afford to do. Neither can my customers, so I don’t ask for money down when we make wool. But I can’t take a loan every time I make it either, there isn’t enough profit. If I built in the profit, no one would buy it.

So, here it is. All the wool all comes with Oeko-tek certificates, so there is no difference between domestic wool and the Chinese wool as far as quality goes. I just like to use them for speed and low minimums.

This new washable wool has many excellent qualities, it is super soft, and drapey. It dyes beautifully, evenly and shrinkage is minimal, like about 15% on the length only. So you get more wool for your money. I am told it works as well as the feltable old style, but you do need 2 layers.

I am thinking if carrying this all the time, it is a super product, if they could thicken it up about 20% we would have the worlds perfect wool.

I do have samples coming that the Chinese have done. I have enough coming this time to test and retest. Some heavy users will get a look to see how it feels to them. I should have them this week.

So, where are we?

I have 300 yds of 100% wool interlock available for shipping now. I have 2200 yds of wool blend interlock ready November 1(about). These are both from American Knitters, same people I have been using all along.

I am pricing organic wool. Though, in my experience, the organic is not as soft, or as clean as the non organic counterpart. It simply can’t be because the sources aren’t there to supply the wool. Organic suppliers both at the farm and at the yarn company level are not abundant.

Short recap:

I have 300 yds of 100% wool interlock available for shipping now.

I have 2200 yds of wool blend interlock ready November 1(about). These are both from American Knitters, same people I have been using all along.

The eggs and bacon we posted about are printing now, along with the 2 edition of loving hops. We are making our way through a current pre order of Michael Millers new interlock offerings. They should be fantastic.

We are currently running a pre order of Far Far Away which is also a new line for us and quite exciting. Be sure to at least take a look at these neat wovens.

Red and Black oogas, or Goth Ooga is coming along, that was ordered last week, and as soon as I have the specifics, we are going to start ordering that.

Please feel free to drop me a line if you are looking for anything special.

The sale is on until tomorrow, buy 4 yds get the 5th free. Simply put 5 yds in your shopping cart and the system will do the discount, you will also be able to use your 20coop for 20% off the balance. I think it is a very good deal, likely the best one we will run. It has to be fabric from the cotton category.

Hmm, oh, and they don’t have to be 5yds of the same thing, any 5 will do.
